Directo operates a B2B marketplace that streamlines logistics, invoicing and fulfilment for pharmacies and suppliers, enabling direct ordering from a central supplier database. The platform connects more than 3,000 pharmacy retailers to over 200 suppliers and wholesalers, with roughly 45,000 product listings. The company reports strong growth: pharmacy users are up 500% versus two years ago, GMV rose 70% in the last financial year, active pharmacy customers grew 57%, suppliers increased by 40%, product listings by 21%, and revenues have doubled annually over the past two years. Directo says it is running at $40 million annualised revenue and has onboarded over half the nation's pharmacies, finishing June 2024 with record trading that continued into July. Founded by Gavin Upiter in 2017, Directo plans to use new funds to expand its supplier and pharmacy user base and to develop additional value-added services and revenue-generating initiatives, including AI-driven solutions. Management also plans to open investment to new backers and develop an investment incentive programme for pharmacy group customers and other platform users.
