Mission

Invest Inya Farmer (IIF) is a consumer investing app and cooperative that enables everyday investors to buy into farm production cycles. The platform’s equity ownership model lets members purchase crops, livestock or other produce before harvest, providing farmers with upfront capital and investors with returns when produce is sold. IIF offers end-to-end transaction and tracking software, including live feeds and farmer updates, so investors can diversify across farms and monitor production progress. Within months of launch the platform connected more than 250 members across 20 farms, executed over 800 trades, recorded 250 exits and achieved a 15% average annualised yield. Founder Nathan MacPhee, a financial services executive who launched IIF after a pandemic sabbatical, built the business to address farmers’ limited access to capital and to strengthen consumer–farmer connections. The company says the model can scale globally and aims to help close Australia’s reported A$159 billion agricultural capital shortfall by making agricultural yields accessible to everyday investors.
