Mission
Ripe Robotics develops computer-vision enabled, modular robots designed to help farmers pick apples, oranges and peaches faster and with greater precision than humans. The company is based in Shepparton and was founded by Hunter Jay and Leopold L. Ripe presented at Startmate's demo day and participated in the Startmate cohort. The team recently closed an over-subscribed Seed round. Investors in that round include AfterWork Ventures, the Angel Investors of Marlborough (led by Richard Coon), and several angel investors including Soroush J. Pour, Mick Liubinskas and Mark Richards. Commenters on the announcement encouraged the founders and wished them luck building out the concept.
