The company’s core product is a Universal Commerce API (internally called UCAPI) that connects developers and platforms to millions of merchants and billions of products through a single integration. Carted began last year in San Francisco building multi-brand checkout to avoid redirecting users away from content. The team positions the product as enabling content platforms to become commerce platforms and to transact contextually within any experience. Post‑raise plans include growing the team in Australia and the U.S. and hiring engineers, design, product, dev relations, and marketing. Financially, Carted has closed a USD $10M funding round led by Blackbird VC with continued support from its pre‑seed backers.
