About
GlamCorner is an Australian fashion-rental marketplace that rents designer dresses and accessories via subscriptions, one-time leases and pop-ups while managing inventory, cleaning, date-driven logistics and fulfillment.
Mission
GlamCorner operates a rental fashion marketplace that gives Australian shoppers access to upmarket designer dresses, gowns, playsuits, jumpsuits, jackets and accessories through monthly subscription boxes, one-time leases and pop-up stores. The company currently holds about 28,000 pieces in inventory and plans to expand that to more than 60,000 items while adding new product lines and brands. The capital will also fund development of a customer-facing app, upgrades to fulfilment automation and a move into a fulfilment centre five times larger than its current site. GlamCorner intends to step up its laundry and logistics services to support the enlarged inventory and operations. The company sells rental and circular-fashion experiences to consumers amid rising demand for sustainable fashion options. Financially, the business has raised a Series B and its total investment to date is estimated at US$12.6 million. GlamCorner operates an online dress-rental service focused on high-end designer labels, stocking over 3,000 dresses and renting them for 10–20% of retail price. Customers have rented the retail equivalent of more than $20 million worth of designer fashion through the platform. The company says its model supports a sharing-economy shift in Australia’s women’s apparel market and helps prevent up to 10 tonnes of clothing from ending up in landfills every month. GlamCorner intends to use new funding to grow its inventory, improve logistics and fulfilment capabilities, and advance tech and product development. Founded in 2012 and based in Sydney, the startup has raised a total of $5.5 million to date. GlamCorner operates a fashion-rental e‑commerce service that lets customers rent designer dresses for a fraction of retail price. Founders Dean Jones and Audrey Khaing‑Jones bootstrapped the company with $20,000 and built a model of buying inventory wholesale from designers who view GlamCorner as a customer‑acquisition channel. The business describes itself as ""e‑commerce meets air traffic control,"" emphasizing logistics, cleaning, and date‑driven delivery to ensure garments arrive in perfect condition. GlamCorner uses data to guide buying decisions and optimize logistics, and leverages social media and influencers to drive customer acquisition. At the time of the article the startup had about 1,000 dresses from 70 designers and planned to use the new funding to double that stock and improve its technology platform. Financially, the company was turning over more than $1 million a year and expected to grow to $3 million in the following year. Competition in the fashion‑rental market was increasing, with several similar services emerging.
