Ofload
Ofload provides an end-to-end freight management platform to connect carriers with large shippers.
Why Ofload exists
Ofload operates a digital freight platform that connects shippers and carriers into centralized supply chain ecosystems. The company recently launched its Carbon Analytics Platform (CAP) to help businesses automate measurement of carbon emissions within their supply chains. Ofload works with hundreds of customers who move freight across Australia and employs about 120 people. The company has expanded via acquisitions, including CIA Logistics and MF Freight, to support growth. Management says the new funding will support the roll-out of CAP and broaden overall business growth. Ofload was founded in 2019 and is based in Sydney, Australia. Ofload, formerly Loadsmile, is a Sydney logistics technology startup whose digital platform live-matches shippers with vetted and reliable carriers to reduce empty miles and idle time. The company has onboarded more than 700 carriers into a virtual fleet of around 15,000 trucks nationwide and cites that roughly 30% of Australian trucks run with empty loads. Ofload launched shortly before the 2020 coronavirus pandemic and completed its seed round six months after launch. The startup raised funds to support its Australian operations and to build out its tech team as it targets wastage and inefficiency in road freight. Management positions the product as a way to improve sustainability and lower overheads for transport companies of all sizes.
