simPRO is a global SaaS provider of field service management software for trade and specialty contracting industries. Led by CEO Sean Diljore and based in Brisbane, Australia, it serves verticals including security professionals, plumbers, electricians, HVAC, solar and data networking. The company has more than 200,000 users and 400 employees across five global offices, with presence in Australia, New Zealand, the United States and the United Kingdom. simPRO announced acquisitions of ClockShark (a US time-sheeting and scheduling platform) and AroFlo (an Australia-based job management software provider); combined the platforms support more than 17,000 businesses, 320,000 users and over 500 staff. It secured an investment of over $350M led by K1 Investment Management with participation from existing investor Level Equity. The funding will be used to support those acquisitions, accelerate product investment and scale global operations, while leadership teams will operate independently and continue servicing existing products. SimPRO creates web applications for contractors and building maintenance staff, including tools for tracking service calls and automating invoices. Its global headquarters are in Brisbane, Australia, and the company also maintains offices in the U.K. and New Zealand. The U.S. subsidiary is based in Broomfield, Colorado. The Broomfield arm raised $16.4 million in an all-equity fundraiser this week, according to SEC filings. The filing states the entire investment came from a single investor. The company previously raised $30.5 million for its American branch in 2016 when that branch was based in Boulder. simPRO Software offers cloud-based job management software for contractors in the electrical, plumbing, HVAC and security industries, helping businesses work smarter, deliver better service, and improve profitability. The company has pursued an aggressive product-innovation and global expansion strategy and plans product enhancements, expanded customer support, and increased marketing. At the end of June 2016 simPRO reported more than 2,500 clients and 80,000 users worldwide. simPRO was established in Brisbane, Australia in 2002 and had been self-funded until the recent investment. The business is owned by private shareholders, including current staff. Leadership has begun relocating corporate staff to new offices in Boulder, Colorado as part of its U.S. expansion plans, with launches planned in up to four U.S. states over the next 12 months.
