Founding Technical Support Engineer
Role Overview
Agave is hiring its first dedicated support hire to build and scale the support function as we grow from ~450 to 1,000+ customers. This is a high-ownership role inside a fast-growing YC-backed B2B SaaS company modernizing the $12T construction industry. You will own the support queue, become a product expert, and directly influence product improvements through customer insight.
What You'll Do
- Own and manage the customer support queue end-to-end - Triage, diagnose, and resolve nuanced customer issues - Debug technical issues involving APIs, integrations, and data flows - Improve documentation, FAQs, and customer resources - Identify recurring patterns and surface insights to product/engineering - Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and CSE to improve onboarding and workflows - Build scalable support processes as the company grows
A Typical Day Looks Like
60%: Triage and resolve customer tickets 20%: Improve customer-facing resources (docs, guides, videos) 10%: Partner with Product & Engineering to prioritize recurring issues 10%: Process improvements and strategic support initiatives

Skills We Value
- 2–8 years experience in B2B SaaS - 2+ years in a customer-facing technical role (Support, CSM, Solutions, Implementation) - Experience owning a support queue end-to-end - Experience debugging integrations or technical workflows - Familiarity with APIs, JSON, SQL, and basic database concepts - Comfortable working directly with product and engineering - Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred: - Experience at early-stage VC-backed startups - Experience in construction tech (Procore, Autodesk, ServiceTitan, Permitflow, etc.) - Experience supporting integrations, data pipelines, or accounting systems - CS degree
